On Netflix, there is a movie with Kurt Russell as Santa Claus. So I watched it (with the kids of course), but it had a slightly different twist on how Santa is able to get to ALL the kids of the world in one night. “The Christmas Chronicles” movie used a time machine gimmick to slowww time down to get the presents delivered. And THAT got me thinking…
How can we slow down and enjoy this season?
Option 1: Study the Department of Motor Vehicles, libraries and school detention to find out how they have mastered the art of making time drag on and on.

Option 2: Tap into Einstein's theory of relativity to change how we perceive time and simplify our focus on the best parts of this Christmas. Ahaaa!
Courtesy of LiveScience.com, the theory of relativity....
"The theory is deceptively simple. First, there is no "absolute" frame of reference. Every time you measure an object's velocity, or its momentum, or how it experiences time, it's always in relation to something else."
Let’s say you are driving. There is just grass on either side of the road, no dashes or even traffic (so peaceful and serene). On the OTHER, there are buildings, billboards, other cars and pretty much everything we see when traveling on 635 or the tollway. Even though you may be going 60 miles per hour on each, the second one makes you feel like you are going 90 mph. Why is that?
Moving relative to other cars or roadside distractions we SEE our speed in how fast we pass them or they pass us. But when we don’t have that, TIME SLOWS DOWN. Breathing slows, shoulders relax and you step out of the trenches of life to find yourself enjoying life again.
Let the world melt away, focus on the one thing we were meant to have as guiding light. Sure it's hard to narrow our focus, but it's much better than a cluttered and frenzied life. Whether you believe in Jesus Christ and what His coming meant for all of us, we can all agree that LOVE is worth it. It's the greatest creation, the thing that is the one thing that either fills our hearts with joy and peach OR without it, we self-destruct. Find Love. Place it on your fireplace mantle and make sure to share it with everyone around you... That is a sure recipe for the best Christmas ever.
